Metal Work

Drip edge 1 ¾" D-style

  • Wrap all corners (as opposed to butting them together and creating a seam)
  • Run full 10' pieces whenever possible, keeping seams to a minimum.
  • Pull all gutter screws and spikes (not cutting around them)
  • Miter laps at gable peak (not leaving excess metal

Chimney Flashing (aluminum)

  • Install 5"x5" front aluminum pan
  • Step flash side walls with 8x8" aluminum weaved between shingles
  • 5x19" back pan
  • All flashing which meets at a corner is extended by ¼" to kick water away from trouble areas and sealed with a 50yr silicone adhesive/sealant.
  • Counter flashing is cut into the chimney with ¼" diamond tipped blade and sealed with 50yr silicone.

Step Flashing

  • All step flashing is installed between shingles just above the tar line. This prevents premature curling.
