Drip edge 1 ¾" D-style
- Wrap all corners (as opposed to butting them together and creating a seam)
- Run full 10' pieces whenever possible, keeping seams to a minimum.
- Pull all gutter screws and spikes (not cutting around them)
- Miter laps at gable peak (not leaving excess metal
Chimney Flashing (aluminum)
- Install 5"x5" front aluminum pan
- Step flash side walls with 8x8" aluminum weaved between shingles
- 5x19" back pan
- All flashing which meets at a corner is extended by ¼" to kick water away from trouble areas and sealed with a 50yr silicone adhesive/sealant.
- Counter flashing is cut into the chimney with ¼" diamond tipped blade and sealed with 50yr silicone.
Step Flashing
- All step flashing is installed between shingles just above the tar line. This prevents premature curling.
